ABOUT

Welsh author S. C. Fisher started writing stories in green crayon as a child and hasn't stopped since, although she has now switched to a laptop for ease. (Green is still her favourite colour.)

 

The first book in her debut YA/ NA horror series, Base Fear: Deadly Secrets (Raven Tale Publishing), was longlisted for The Book Edit Writer's Prize 2021 and also reached number five in the Amazon Occult Horror chart. The series focuses upon military teens and the supernaturally troubled bases they are 'posted' to with their families - because nothing says "nightmare fuel" quite like hauling all your belongings across the country in boxes!

Since the release of the first Base Fear book, S. C. Fisher has written three more novels in the series and contributed to over eight horror anthologies/ websites, plus any Podcast that would have her. (More than she would have expected, honestly!)

 

Fisher currently resides in beautiful Suffolk with her husband, four children, and a menagerie of pets. When not writing, she can be found reading, baking, attempting to convince her kids she is a 'gamer', and trying to learn how to construct a passable website.
